VOLUNTEER FOR A BOMA/CHICAGO COMMITTEE!

Your participation on a BOMA/Chicago Committee strengthens your company’s voice in issues that affect your profession and your building. In addition to making a significant contribution to BOMA/Chicago and to your profession, you’ll establish valuable business contacts and benefit from networking opportunities. Committees develop and recommend programs and policies to the Oversight Committees and to the Board of Directors. When directed by the Board, they work with government officials and allied and civic organizations to advance the concerns of the office building industry and BOMA/Chicago members.

Affiliate:	Provides a forum for Affiliate member issues; oversees service projects and events.
Codes:	Monitors building code changes and participates in their formulation.
Diversity:	Develops initiatives to increase diversity in commercial real estate management.
Energy:	Promotes member interests in energy regulations and markets.
Education:	Manages the delivery and instruction of designation education.
Membership:	Initiates programs to retain and increase all forms of BOMA/Chicago membership.
Taxation:	Advances member interests in state and local property tax issues.
Security:	Tracks building security issues: works to improve procedures.
Information:	Directs dissemination of information to members and the public through internet, public relations, newsletter and special programs.
Social Marketing Committee:	Fosters participation by planning, executing and assisting with events that support, benefit and recognize the best interests of Building Members and are conducive to networking.
Trade Show Task Force:	Plans and execute the annual Trade Show and events in conjunction with the Trade Show.
