2009 Diversity Celebration

Nearly 200 people attended the 2009 Diversity Celebration on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 111 South Wacker Drive. The event raised more than $30,000 for the Reginald L. Ollie Inclusion and Outreach Scholarship Fund, which offers full tuition to someone underrepresented in the commercial real estate industry to acheive the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation. The event also honored Carlos Chavez of Behringer Harvard, the 2009 recipient of the award.

On November 5, 2008, BOMA/Chicago hosted a Town Hall Discussion of Real Estate executives for its Emerging Leaders Network. Approximately 130 people attended the event on the 99th floor of the Sears Tower.

2008 Diversity Celebration

The 2008 Diversity Celebration was held October 29 at 111 South Wacker Drive. The event raised nearly $45,000 for the Reginald L. Ollie Inclusion and Outreach Scholarship and the new BOMA/Chicago Foundation through event sponsorships and silent auction proceeds.

Registration will be limited so sign up now for this February 5 Fat Tuesday festival complete with traditional Mardi Gras food, and free purple, green and gold feather masks, beads and “throws” all mixed with great Chicago Blues!

The Diversity Cocktail Hour

Nearly 100 guests gathered on Monday, October 15 to honor 2007 BOMA/Chicago Reginald L. Ollie Inclusion and Outreach Scholarship Recipient Angel Brewington of U.S. Equities Realty. The event raised more than $43,000 for the Ollie Scholarship through sponsorships, auction proceeds and Five-Year "Ollie Champion" pledges made at the event. BOMA/Chicago Trade Show

BOMA/Chicago hosted its first members only trade show on May 11, 2006 at The Merchandise Mart. Approximately 225 building members attended and viewed new products and services from 84 companies. More than $20,000 of prizes were raffled away, including a 42’’ Samsung DLP HD television, a weekend trip for two to California Wine Country, and $2,000 cash. Immediately following the show, attendees moved to The Chopping Block cooking school for a Spanish themed reception featuring the first BOMA/Chicago Board of Directors Cook-Off Competition. Vice President Chuck Wagener and Treasurer Maureen Ehrenberg were crowned the contest winners.
